ANZAC day
Saturday 25th april marked 100 years since WW1. I learnt that 2779 New Zealand soliders died in golipolie turky. Im here to talk about WW1
The way i got to celebrate ANZAC day was going to the AFL game St Kilda vs carlton. I got to run out onto the feild with the players and stood there for all the anthems and trumpet playing and the mouments of silence to remeber the ANZACS that fought all over golipolie and France. I learnt that they fought not just in golipolie but all over the country. I also learnt that war was way worse than i thought. The trenches are way smaller than i thought they are just a long line that goes through the ground and its so thin except for the under ground trenches. they had fist fights when some of the enemy's came into the trenches of the enemy and beat them with clubs until they died. the soilders used there helmets to see where the enemy was hiding and would jump up to shoot them.
